Brad Hammer has had a CRAZY week of drag queens, parties, and awesome nights. Here is his breakdown of this week’s past events and what to expect for the upcoming weekend as well!
Monday, October 7:
Mondays are a drag! West Hollywood’s Queen of Camp, Allusia, hosts “Lip Service” drag show at The Abbey. This week’s line-up of queens is impressive, with Vicky Vox, Laganja Estranj, Mayhem Miller, and more! Down the street Raven hosts “ShowGirls” at Micky’s. This drag show brings in big crowds, and yes, this is where Lady Gaga’s lyric video for “Applause” was filmed! Courtney Act was one of the queens in that Gaga video, but on Monday nights she hosts a really fun karaoke night at Revolver. Stop by and watch the boys belt show tunes and pop hits!
Tuesday, October 8:
From the creators of the popular club night “Mr. Blacks” is a new Hollywood night, “Evita” at Blok. “Evita” is a wild blend of New York-style club kids and West Hollywood muscle boys. Don’t be afraid to wear something creative! Presented by Luke Nero & Andres Rigal with hosts Boulet Brothers, Chanel Perrillo, Mynxii White, The Cunts.
WeHo’s favorite raunch pit brings back the original gay outlaw party “Whisky Dick”—a night of country music and rock ‘n’ roll that will take place every Tuesday. Stop in for $3 drafts, $4 well drinks, and $5 Fireball whiskey shots.
Wednesday, October 9:
West Hollywood’s famous Wednesday night party has become a staple. “Stripper Circus” packs the tops of the bars with the hottest go-go dancers in L.A. and in return they pack the house. Brought to you by Paul Nicholls & Woody Woodbeck with DJ Derek Monteiro.
Thursday, October 10:
Rhea Litre hosts “Guys Gone Wild” at The Abbey. This is arguably the best night to head to The Abbey, that is if you want to experience The Abbey as a gay bar (weekends are invaded by busloads of straight folk).
“TigerHeat” at Avalon is the perfect place for the 18+ crowd. Packed full of twinks dancing to the latest Pop music beats. This Thursday “Tigerheat” is celebrating Britney Spears with a release party for “Work Bitch!” Live performance by Vero.
Friday, October 11:
Brought to you by the creator of White Party Palm Springs: Jeffrey Sanker along with Paul Nicholls have a new night at Eleven Nightclub, “Fresh Fridays.” With world renown Djs (this week is Chris Cox), dancers, and tons of entertainment.
If you are looking for something scandalous, check out “Booty Bump” at Fubar. From the controversial owner of Weho Confidential, you never know what kind of trouble they are getting into.
Saturday, October 12:
Pink in concert at the Staples Center! Pink knows how to put on one hell of a show! You can bet on all the boys heading to West Hollywood after the concert. Saturday is a great time to bar hop to Here Lounge, The Abbey, Ultra Suede, and see where you end up!
ES Collection Los Angeles Grand Opening! Celebrate the first ES Collection Store in Los Angeles, that carries full ES Collection and Addicted by ES. Join the Barcelena team for hot guys, great DJ, and drinks. Gifts with purchase!
8915 Santa Monica Blvd. West Hollywood, CA, 90069 Los Angeles, CA
Sunday, October 13:
Feel the spirit of the AIDS Walk Los Angeles. 30,000 participants gather in West Hollywood at 8:30 am, the course starts and ends at West Hollywood Park.
After the walk… Sunday fun day is not to be missed in West Hollywood. The sun will be shining and the boys will be out in full force. Hit the Weho strip! The Abbey is the place to be earlier in the day and Here Lounge gets busy later in the day.
